প্রিয় শিক্ষার্থী, আজ বাংলা ২য় পত্র থেকে বঙ্গানুবাদ দেওয়া হলো।

The life of a student is a life of preparation, preparation for the struggle of life. To make him well fitted for the struggle, education is necessary. Students of today will lead the nation tomorrow. But if their education is not complete, would they be able to lead the country to peace and prosperity?

বঙ্গানুবাদ: ছাত্রজীবন প্রস্তুতি গ্রহণের সময়, এই প্রস্তুতি জীবনযুদ্ধের। জীবনযুদ্ধের জন্য তাকে যথাযোগ্য করে তুলতে শিক্ষা অপরিহার্য। আজকের ছাত্ররাই আগামী দিনে জাতির নেতৃত্ব দেবে। কিন্তু তাদের শিক্ষালাভ পূর্ণাঙ্গ না হলে তারা কি দেশকে শান্তি ও সমৃদ্ধির দিকে পরিচালিত করতে সক্ষম হবে?

The word 'Sher' means tiger. 'Sher-e-Bangla' means the tiger of Bengal. Do you know who this tiger of Bengal was? Abul Kasem Fazlul Huq was the tiger of Bengal. Physically he was as strong as a tiger. Not only that, he was not in the least afraid of doing what he considered to be true and just. The title 'Sher-e-Bangla' was conferred on him in 1940.

বঙ্গানুবাদ: ‘শের’ শব্দের অর্থ বাঘ। ‘শের-ই-বাংলা’ অর্থ বাংলার বাঘ। তোমরা কি জানো বাংলার এ বাঘ কে ছিলেন? আবুল কাশেম ফজলুল হক বাংলার এ বাঘ ছিলেন। শারীরিকভাবে তিনি বাঘের মতো শক্তিশালী ছিলেন। তিনি সত্য ও ন্যায় প্রতিষ্ঠার স্বার্থে কখনো ভীত ছিলেন না। ‘শের-ই-বাংলা’ উপাধি তাঁকে ১৯৪০ সালে দেওয়া হয়েছিল।

The main thing about habits is that they should be acquired quite early in life. The mind is then like clay in the hands of a potter. You can give any shape you like. There is also the need of a good atmosphere at home for the child forming the right sorts of habit. Education is also as factor in habit formation.

বঙ্গানুবাদ: অভ্যাস সম্বন্ধে গুরুত্বপূর্ণ বিষয় হচ্ছে, এগুলো জীবনের প্রথম দিকে অর্জন করতে হয়। মন তখন কুমারের হাতের মাটির মতো থাকে। তুমি তাকে যেমন ইচ্ছা, তেমন রূপ দিতে পারো। বাড়িতে শিশুদের যথার্থ অভ্যাস গঠনের উপযুক্ত পরিবেশ থাকতে হবে। শিক্ষা অভ্যাস গঠনের অন্যতম নিয়ামক।
