The Liberation War Museum
The Liberation War Museum was set up to preserve and display of the objects, relics and all other materials related to the War of Liberation. It is situated at Segunbagicha in Dhaka.It was built for preserving the memory and relics of the War of Liberation.It has six galleries first of which demonstrates the rare photographs, documents, news-paper clipping, and objects used by the freedom fighters and the martyrs of our great Liberation War. The second gallery presents a chronicle of the period of the Pakistani rule from 1947. The third gallery shows the Declaration of Independence by Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. The sixth gallery demonstrates some of the heart-touching relics like the personal belongings of some of our martyred intellectuals and freedom fighters-a pair of glasses, a pen, a note-book, a moneybag, a soiled shirt and such other relics. The Liberation War Museum arranges different programmes to promote nationality among the young generation.
