∎ Our Country
My country is Bangladesh. It became independent in 1971. Dhaka is the capital of Bangladesh. It is a small but beautiful country. Many rivers flow through our land. Bangladesh is rich in natural beauty. Our people are very friendly and hardworking. Farmers grow rice and many crops. The Sundarbans is famous all over the world. Cox’s Bazar has the longest sea beach. We celebrate many national festivals. People speak the Bengali language proudly. The national flower is the water lily. Cricket is a popular game here. Many brave people fought for freedom. We love our country very much. We should work for its development. We should keep our country clean. Bangladesh is dear to my heart. I am proud to be a Bangladeshi.
∎ My Friend
My friend’s name is Rahim. He is my best friend. He reads in the same class with me. He is very polite and honest. He comes to school regularly. He is very attentive in class. He always completes his homework on time. He helps me with my lessons. I also help him when needed. We play together after school. He likes cricket very much. He respects his teachers and parents. Everybody likes him for his good behavior. He never tells lies to anyone. He is kind to poor people. He always speaks gently. We share our books and food. We spend much time together. I feel happy in his company.
I am proud of my friend.
∎ Our School Garden
There is a beautiful garden in our school. It is in front of the school building. The garden is very neat and clean. There are many kinds of flowers in it. Roses and sunflowers bloom there. The flowers look colorful and fresh. Some students take care of the garden. Our teachers also help us. We water the plants regularly. We remove grass and weeds carefully. Butterflies fly over the flowers. Birds sometimes sit on the trees. The garden makes our school beautiful. It gives us fresh air and joy. Students enjoy spending time there. We do not damage the plants. The head teacher loves the garden very much. Visitors praise our school garden. It teaches us to love nature. I like our school garden very much.
